Final two St Catherine councillors sworn in

The full slate of 41 councillors is now in place to serve the St Catherine Municipal Corporation, with the swearing in of two additional councillors on Monday.
Those sworn in are Ralston 'John' Wilson, of the Ginger Ridge division, and Damara Lawson, of the Southboro division. They both took their oaths at the corporation's chambers.
Both candidates were declared winners for their respective divisions following magisterial recounts.
The People's National Party's Wilson defeated Jeremiah Johnson of the Jamaica Labour Party, while the JLP's Lawson defeated the PNP's Everton Shakes to become the first female councillor in the Southboro division.
Mayor Norman Scott welcomed the additions to the corporation.
The first general meeting for the elected councillors is scheduled for Thursday.
