MoBay labourer charged for attacking man in his home

A Montego Bay, St James man was charged on Tuesday in relation to an attack on another man in his home.
Jerome Campbell, a labourer of Queen's Drive, has been charged with burglary, assault at common law and possession of a prohibited weapon.
A court date is being finalised.
The incident happened in Campbell's community on Sunday, March 24.
The police report that about 9:30 p.m., a man was at home when Campbell, who was armed with a hand gun, broke and entered into his bedroom using a side door.
Williams began searching the room and was confronted by the man, who in fear of his life, used a machete to inflict a chop wound, according to the police.
Williams then ran and escaped on foot in the surrounding area.
A report was later made to the police, and acting on information received, Campbell was arrested later that day.
On Tuesday, April 02, Campbell was subsequently charged.
