The St Elizabeth police have arrested and charged 50-year-old watchman, Carl Sinclair, after he allegedly stole three goats in Lititz district in the parish on Saturday.

The police say about 6 p.m., a woman tied her goats to the rear of her house.

Later that evening she went to make checks and discovered that three of her goats, valued at $70,000, were missing.

She made a report to the police and a probe was launched.

On Sunday, the police carried out an operation in the area, where the goats were recovered and Sinclair arrested.

He was subsequently charged with larceny of cattle.
