Scores of moms were feted on Sunday at the Fathers Who Cook for Mothers event in St Catherine.

The annual event, which has been staged for over a decade, saw male chefs preparing meals for attendees, mostly mothers.

Among the chefs was former Member of Parliament Andre Hylton.

The event saw about 800 patrons.

Organiser Leighton McKnight told The Gleaner that he was pleased to see the joy being brought to mothers and their families.

Further, he expressed thanks for the continued support for the event, which is used to raise funds for the Clifton Basic School in St Catherine.

For McKnight, it's more than just a meal; it's about making a difference in the lives of young children.

Hylton echoed McKnight's sentiments, emphasising the joy he finds in serving mothers.

Highlighting the event's significance was Una Clarke, a former Jamaica-born New York councilwoman, who flew in specifically to witness the outpouring of support from Jamaican fathers.

Amidst the culinary delights, mothers were treated to a spectacle of entertainment, including a dazzling fashion show and giveaways.
