Classes resume at Baxter’s Mountain Primary
Normality has returned to Baxter's Mountain Primary School following the suspension of classes due to flooded roadways on Tuesday.
Principal of Baxter's Mountain Primary, Sherene Harris told The Gleaner a short while ago that the rains have subsided and that all students sitting the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) exams are present and accounted for.
According to Harris, normal water levels have also returned to the ford, which was inundated on Tuesday, following more than three hours of torrential rainfall that resulted in flooding of the roadway leading to the institution.
On Tuesday dozens of students, teachers and motorists were marooned for almost three hours after the ford was rendered impassable to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
