Jamaican among three people charged with murder in Barbados
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – A 23-year-old Jamaican national is among three people who appeared in court on Monday, charged with the murder of 32-year-old Chad Roett earlier this month.
Police charged Junior Frances Campbell, along with Barbadians Najae Zion Dechristopher Marshall, 20, and 24-year-old, Zaquan Ryan O'Neal Walcott with the crime after the body of Roett was found with gunshot wounds on the night of June 5 this year.
The authorities said he was gunned down at a shop and a gold chain was ripped from his neck.
The three men appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee at the District 'A' Magistrates Court and have been remanded into custody to re-appear in court on July 22.
In a statement, the police said they wanted to “thank the media and the general public for their assistance and cooperation in this matter”.
