Clarendon construction worker charged with assault with intent to rape

Twenty-seven-year-old Okeeno Maurice, a construction worker of Long Fearon district, Silent Hill, Clarendon, was on Monday charged with burglary and assault with intent to rape.

His court date is being arranged.

The Christiana police report that between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, a woman awoke to strange noises in her home and reportedly saw Maurice coming through the window.

He allegedly held on to her through the window while making sexual demands.

The woman made an alarm and Maurice escaped in the area.

The matter was reported to the police.

Maurice later turned himself in to the police where he was interviewed and subsequently charged on Monday July 29.
