Firearm seized in St Andrew, suspect arrested
A man has been arrested following the seizure of a firearm during a police operation on Seivwright Drive in St. Andrew on Wednesday.
The police recovered a .38 Taurus revolver, along with eight .38 rounds and one .56 round of ammunition.
Reports indicate that around 4 p.m., officers on patrol observed a man acting suspiciously. Upon noticing the police, the man ran but the police intercepted him after a chase.
A search of a bag he was carrying allegedly revealed the firearm and ammunition.
The man was arrested and is being questioned as investigations continue.
