Man wanted for murder of 'Mad Dog' in Westmoreland captured
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting that it today captured a man wanted for murder in Westmoreland.
Apprehended was Nicholas Muthra of Benta district in Withorn in parish.
The JCF says Muthra was wanted for the November 10 shooting death of Iwayne Bennett, otherwise called 'Mad Dog', in Bastard Cedar Walk in the parish.
Today's operation involved the Jamaica Defence Force, the Area One Fugitive Apprehension Team, Specialized Operations, the Lottery Scamming Task Force, Traffic and Highway Patrol and the Divisional Quick Response Unit.
Other partner agencies include the Transport Authority and the Jamaica Public Service.
The JCF says Muthra's capture marks a significant achievement as the police seek to restore order and bolster public confidence in the Westmoreland Division.
