'Spent shell' charged with gun offences

Thirty-five-year-old Raymond Samuels, otherwise called ‘Spent Shell’, of Brontie district, Christiana, Manchester, has been charged with multiple offences linked to several incidents in the parish in 2024.

He has been charged with six counts of shooting with intent, two counts of possession of prohibited weapon, two counts of unauthorised possession of ammunition, two counts of using firearm to commit a felony and accessory after the fact to murder.

The Manchester police say following an intelligence-driven operation that led to the capture of a several wanted men in the parish on January 9, a team went to a house in Salt Marsh, Trelawny, where Samuels was seen and apprehended.

He was later transported to the Mandeville Police Station where he was subsequently charged on Monday.
