Wanted man ‘Berty’ nabbed

Wanted man, 28-year-old Dino Sutherland, otherwise called ‘Berty’, of Seaward Drive, Kingston 20, has been captured.

He was apprehended on Tuesday during an intelligence-led operation conducted by the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force (JAGTF).

Reports are that around 3:00 p.m., the JAGTF team carried out an operation at an apartment complex in the Kingston 10 area.

According to the police, Sutherland and six other individuals were found at the location and taken into custody.

Additionally, six 9mm rounds of ammunition were seized.

The identities of the other individuals are being withheld pending further investigation.

The police state that Sutherland was wanted for the murder of Ricardo Anderson, otherwise called ‘Cardo’, of Seaward Drive, who was killed on Tuesday, January 7.

Sutherland is also a person of interest in at least one other case, according to investigators.

The investigation remains ongoing.
