Woman dies after being hit while crossing St Catherine highway

The police in St Catherine are trying to ascertain the identity of a woman who died after being hit while crossing the PJ Patterson Highway.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning.
It is reported that about 7:40, the woman was attempting to cross a section of the highway when she was hit by a 2017 BMW x1 motor car.
She was assisted to hospital where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was warned for prosecution.
An investigation is under way by the Old Harbour Traffic Department.
