JLP has earned a third term, says PM

Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness says while his administration has "earned" a third term, it has no expectation that Jamaicans will automatically vote for his ruling Jamaica Labour Party in a general election that is due by September.
"We have earned your vote. We have earned your support. We have earned the third term," he said Friday evening at a party meeting in St Elizabeth North Eastern.
He listed projects such as the provision of water supply systems, building housing schemes, and breaking ground for new highways, among others.
"No other government coming up to an election has the track record of achievement that this government has," the prime minister added.
He acknowledged that despite progress in some areas, many Jamaicans are struggling.
"There is still a long way to go to bring every single Jamaica on the road to prosperity."
