National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) is reminding customers that all NCB Midas debit cards will be deactivated on March 31.

It says after this date, the cards will no longer be accepted for transactions at automated banking machines (ABMs) or point of sale (POS) terminals.

The NCB Midas card was first introduced in the early 2000s and has been in use for over two decades.

However, NCB says as banking technology has advanced, it has moved to adopt the NCB Visa debit card, a newer, more secure and more widely-accepted option.

It says customers still using NCB Midas cards should upgrade to the NCB Visa debit card ahead of March 31 to avoid any disruption in service.
