Jamaica Bauxite Institute’s (JBI) field project officer, Dr Gilmore Faulkner (centre), presents a set of agricultural kits, including spray pans and agrochemicals to Sarah Lawrence, Farm Town Jamaica Agricultural Society district representative, and to Kent Skyers, chairman, Discovery Bauxite Community Council, at a meeting of the council in Discovery Bay on March 26. The presentation was made on behalf of the JBI’s Bauxite Community Development Programme and will serve farmers in the Farm Town group, the bauxite community council, and greenhouse farmers in the bauxite-mining areas of the company’s operations in Dry Harbour Mountains, St Ann.
