Kingston barber charged with gun offences following May shooting

The Denham Town police in Kingston have charged a 20-year-old barber with multiple firearm-related offences following an incident in the community on May 9.
He is Jaheim Bailey, otherwise called ‘Puddie,’ from Rodney Street in Jones Town.
He has been charged with shooting with intent, illegal importation of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and making use of a firearm to commit a felony, according to a statement issued by the police on Saturday.
It's reported that at about 8:20 p.m. on the day of the incident, a man was sitting on the roadway when Bailey, allegedly armed with a gun, pounced upon him.
The intended target managed to escape and later reported the matter to the police.
On Tuesday, June 10, Bailey turned himself in to the police and was subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.
