Land owners who have sold land to the Discovery Bauxite mining company in St Ann pose with land titles presented at the company’s sports club during a special Mining Ministry Land Titles Conference hosted by the company on May 26. Securing titles for land vendors is described as a corporate imperative by Discovery Bauxite’s Acting General Manager Chris Cargill (standing left) and has proven time consuming in some instances, but according to Frank Witter (standing second left), the ministry is leading a charge to accelerate the land titling process, working with the companies across the industry.
