Three farmers charged after seizure of ammunition and ganja in St Elizabeth
Three farmers from Westmoreland have been charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition and possession of ganja following an incident along the Brompton main road in St Elizabeth on Tuesday.
They are Kimauni Rose, 28, of Orange Hill district; 31-year-old Nikomou Moore, 31, of White Hall district and Mathew Jackson, 34, also of Orange Hill district
According to reports from the Black River police, at approximately 3:30 p.m., lawmen conducted a search of a white Toyota Axio motorcar carrying the three men.
During the search, officers discovered three 9mm rounds of ammunition and approximately eight ounces of vegetable matter resembling ganja.
The men were arrested and subsequently charged on Thursday.
