Body of man with gunshot found near canal in Spanish Town

The body of a man with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head was found this morning in bushes near a canal in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
It is reported that around 9 o'clock, passers-by stumbled upon the body near the canal, located between Jobs Lane and Wynters Pen along the Spanish Town Bypass.
The police were summoned to the scene.
The body was clad in black jeans, black sneakers, and a white T-shirt.
The deceased is approximately five feet seven inches tall and appears to be in his mid-20s.
The scene was processed, and the body was removed.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
