Section of Duhaney Drive in Duhaney Park to be closed for drainage works
The National Works Agency (NWA) is to close a section of Duhaney Drive in Duhaney Park, St Andrew, for 10 days starting Sunday, August 17, to undertake drainage works.
The NWA says the targeted location is the grating just below Waterhouse Drive.
The agency's Manager of Communication and Customer Services, Stephen Shaw, says the closure is necessary as the drain spans the entire width of the roadway.
He says the works will include the removal of the existing drainage infrastructure, concrete works, and the installation of new gratings.
During the closure period, motorists heading towards Perkins Boulevard from the direction of Washington Boulevard can use Baldwin Crescent.
Another route from Duhaney Drive is to turn right onto Waterhouse Drive, left onto Sherlock Crescent, and then right onto Abberville Avenue.
For either alternative route, the reverse applies for motorists coming from the direction of Abberville Avenue.
The NWA is encouraging motorists to exercise caution while using the roadway during the period of the works and to observe the instructions of flag persons and warning signs.
