Two motorcyclists killed in separate weekend Crashes
Police are investigating two crashes that claimed the lives of two motorcyclists in Clarendon and Westmoreland over the weekend.
The victims have been identified as 48-year-old Marvin Carridice of Lionel Town, Clarendon, and 22-year-old Maurice Robinson of Fort Williams, Westmoreland.
Reports are that about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Carridice was riding a motorcycle along Bustamante Drive in Lionel Town when he collided with a Toyota Probox motor car.
He was taken to May Pen Hospital, where he later died.
In the second incident, about 5 p.m. on Saturday, Robinson was riding a motorcycle along the Fort Williams main road when he collided with a parked Toyota Coaster motor truck.
The impact reportedly resulted in serious injuries and extensive damage to the motorcycle.
Robinson was assisted to the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Whithorn and Lionel Town police are investigating the incidents.
