The man who was shot during a police operation on Ruthven Road, St Andrew, Thursday night has died, the Independent Commission of Investigations says.

Another man remains in custody.

Police reported that a firearm was recovered at the scene.

The Independent Commission of Investigations is probing the incident.

As at March 12, a total of 64 people have been fatally shot by members of the security forces this year.

Thirteen of those shootings occurred in March.
