Three women injured in Marcus Garvey Drive crash, truck overturns

Three women were injured this morning along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston after the vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by a truck laden with marl.

The truck driver reportedly ran a red light and collided with a Toyota RAV4 SUV.

The impact caused the truck to overturn.

The police and firefighters responded to the incident, during which the driver of the SUV had to be extracted from the vehicle.

She, along with two female passengers, was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital.

The driver is said to be in serious but stable condition.
