Two men charged for fatal stabbing in St Thomas
The police in St Thomas have charged two men for last month's stabbing death of a man in Fort district.
Forty-five-year-old Dwayne Capleton, also called 'Tall Man', from nearby Lyssons, and Oneil Stewart, 41, an entertainer from Fort district, are charged for the murder of Eaton Whittle.
The charges followed an identification parade last week.
Both men are to appear in court on March 24.
According to the police, Whittle was attacked and stabbed in the chest and back about 1:30 am on February 18.
"The deceased and the two accused were patrons at an event when a verbal dispute erupted," according to sleuths, who said the ill-fated weapon was reportedly passed between the two accused before the incident.
"The two suspects fled the scene on foot, while a passing motorist rushed Whittle to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where he was pronounced dead."
Whittle's death is the third murder in St Thomas since January - one gunshot-related, and the other a chopping incident.
Individuals have been arrested for all incidents, cops said.
