The Women Entrepreneurs Network of the Caribbean (WENC) has announced the appointment of Nayana Williams, CEO of Lifespan Company Limited, as an adviser to its board, strengthening the organisation’s mission to support and empower women entrepreneurs across the region.

Williams will serve a two-year advisory term, contributing her extensive experience as a successful entrepreneur and business leader to guide women navigating the early and mid-stages of building and expanding their businesses.

Ethnie Miller Simpson, president of WENC, welcomed Williams’ appointment, noting that her leadership and business insight would be invaluable to the network.

“We are delighted to have Nayana Williams join us as an adviser. Her entrepreneurial journey and commitment to excellence make her an outstanding role model for women in business. Her insights will help guide our members as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurship,” Simpson said.

In Jamaica, WENC continues to play a key role in supporting women entrepreneurs through mentorship, networking, and leadership development initiatives designed to strengthen the region’s business ecosystem.

Williams said she was honoured to support the organisation and its work.

“It is a privilege to join WENC in this advisory capacity and to contribute to a network that is committed to empowering women entrepreneurs. Mentorship and shared experience are powerful tools for growth, and I look forward to supporting the organisation and the women it serves,” she said.

Her appointment comes right after WENC hosted the Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk in Kingston at Emancipation Park; an international initiative held annually in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The Mentoring Walk brings together women leaders and emerging entrepreneurs in a unique mentorship format where participants are paired in mentor–mentee partnerships while walking together and engaging in meaningful conversations about leadership, business development, and personal growth.

The Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk, launched in 2008 by Oxygen Media founder Geraldine Laybourne, has become a global platform for advancing women’s leadership and mentorship. To date, more than 1,180 walks have been held in 60 countries with over 130,000 participants, creating opportunities for women to build networks, exchange ideas, and foster lasting professional relationships.
