Slim fit cotton denims in a complex blue is an exciting alternative to navy. The look is given the luxe effect by pairing with a long sleeve button front blouse in a delicate black Chantilly lace. Vegan leather makes an unexpected appearance with cuff, collar and pocket detailing. Strands of pearls are layered and an envelope clutch in a matte black that pulls the look together.
Skin tight wet leggings in a python prints paired with an oversized shirt blouse in a delicate ivory with fold over sleeves. The muted ensemble comes ablaze with vivid Aurora red accents in platform pumps and the dynamic Hermes inspired statement bag. A dash of sunshine peeks through in the animal print and can be described as Misted Yellow.
Figure hugging black mini dress with sheer mesh long sleeves, featuring a key-hole opening, is paired with pointy toe pumps in bright cobalt with a metallic finish. Take note to another dominate trend, the turtle neck silhouette.
The pencil skirt in Cypress is given a monotone treatment with shades of green playing harmoniously with gold highlights to anchor the palette.

Colours of Fall

As Fall rolls around, many of us, especially in Jamaica, may be trying to figure out what fashion season we are in, while being inundated with news of runway shows two seasons ahead! This, coupled with the fact that we don't really get seasonal changes in Jamaica, makes it confusing as to what is really trending now versus what is coming next.

One cannot deny the importance of staying ahead of trends, as buyers, designers and writers need to be ahead to do their forecasting. However, today we will look at the top 10 colours for fall as chosen by Pantone, which this year covered fashion for both men and women, and makes this colour palette unisex.

Pantone maintains its authority on the world of colour and, with the collaboration of designers and decorators, have compiled their top 10 colours for Fall. This compilation represents the beauty of the past with the spirit of the present, as a fail-safe guide for us to make decisions as it relates to our makeup, jewellery, clothing, and everything in between.

According to Pantone's executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, "This is a season of untypical colours - more reflective of the imagination and ingenuity, which makes for an artful collection of colours and combinations not bound by the usual hues for fall."

Cypress

Fall's perennial green returns in a deep and sophisticated hue called Cypress. It's a majestic and powerful green with a large presence.

Royal Blue and

Bright Cobalt

Bright Cobalt offers a twist on the normal cobalt blue - described as possessing subtle hints of green, while Royal Blue is a gorgeous shade of navy with an indigo hue. Royal blue is a regal colour that we associate with royalty, hence the name.

Cognac

Cognac proposes a classy and cultured brown that is typical to autumn tones. Think sepia, muted and sombre. It anchors the wardrobe and is a safe neutral to play up the very trending nude colours.

Aurora Red

Aurora Red is described as a sophisticated shade that adds spark and is composed with red, orange and pink accents.
