Sean Paul Rocked MoBay
WESTERN BUREAU:
Hotel mogul Adam Stewart arrived by sea on his yacht, Sean Paul, by road in a Nissan Armado SUV.
This was the scene at the Hip Strip's Blue Beat Ultra Lounge as the Grammy award-winning dancehall artiste blazed into Montego Bay last weekend for volume two of his Full Speed Riddim roll-out.
Featuring some of Jamaica's best dancehall artistes, the rhythm boasts a diverse, fast-juggling reggae/dancehall beat and has been embraced by the likes of Konshens, Mr Vegas, Denyque, Vanessa Bling, J. Capri, Cham, and newcomer female sensation Mink Jo.
The globetrotting megastar, accompanied by his wife, Jodi 'Jinx' Henriques, received tremendous support from former world heavyweight champion boxer Lennox Lewis, AndrÈ 'Suku' Gray from Ward 21, and members of the Brand New Machine (BNM) family.
Japanese artiste Iakopo and his manager, Caroline St George, who lives between Round Hill, the United Kingdom and Grand Bahama, took time out from producing his album at Cottage Nine at the Hanover hotel and villas to join Paul and his team, while Stewart, his wife, Jill, and several friends, including Aroon and Raquel Dadlani, celebrated with soon-to-be bride Melani Castillo.
The Jamaican DJ, known for hits such as Bailando, Like Glue, Temperature, Gimme Di Light as Roll Up, later hit the stage at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, giving patrons a treat. He was joined onstage by Mink Jo.
The DJ also played a selection of songs from the Full Speed Riddim Vol 2; Are You Ready - Ding Dong, Money - Future Fambo ft Elephant Man, and Cut N Guh Tru - Bounty Killer.
The event was coordinated by Brand New Machine, which is owned by Terrence 'Farenheit' Harold and Steve 'Urchin' Wilson. The two host a monthly event at the Blue Beat Ultra Lounge.
