Rekindling a partnership that began several years ago, the Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) reinforced its support of the Rotary Club of Kingston East and Port Royal at the health fair for residents in Harbour View, Kingston.

The residents from the communities close to the St Boniface Anglican Church received free general health check-ups, diabetes screening, hypertension checks, as well as optical screening, grooming and even free medication, in some instances, as part of the event.

As part of its ongoing commitment to bolstering the Rotary Club's healthservice offerings to those in need across the country, the SAJ provided the use of its mobile clinic free of cost. The 40-foot air-conditioned unit, which was converted from a shipping container by the SAJ, was transported to the venue without charge by Maritime & Transport Services Ltd, providing a place where patients were able to be examined by the medical team in privacy and comfort.
