It was all about The Gleaner Company's administrative staff during Administrative Professionals (secretary) Day.

On Wednesday, they took a break from the office to let their hair down and enjoy a delicious and well-deserved lunch at the CRU Bar and Kitchen on Lady Musgrave Road.

Managing director of The Gleaner Company, Christopher Barnes, noted that it is a good feeling when he walks into his office and remembers an engagement, only to realise that his secretary already thought about it and have everything he would need ready. "That is the kind of relationship that you need to have with your secretary, one that is completely in sync. To get to that point requires a special relationship, one of respect and understanding," noted Barnes.

Punctual, reliable and amazing, were just three of the many positive words that the managers present used to describe their secretaries, before they were showered with gifts of appreciation.
