Diamond League Star Gazing
Sanya Richards-Ross
The Jamaica-born quarter-miler let off several warning shots in Kingston last week with a blistering world leading time of 49.95 for a powerful win. She looks to be in the mood here in Doha and who's going to be against her winning again and even lowering that time?
Justin Gatlin:
This will be his first 100m race of the season but we've seen enough to know that the American, who hasn't lost a race since September 2013 is already in great form. Exhibit A: His ego busting second leg run in the 4x100m final at the World Relays. Exhibit B: His last place - to - third 4x200m anchor at the same meet - even if his team were eventually disqualified.
Mo Farah:
He's been spending a lot of time watching football here and may wish to get off the track as fast as possible to rest up ahead of his Arsenal's big match this weekend against Manchester United. But a World Indoor record in the two mile and a sub 1 hour time in the half marathon shows that the Brit is ready to delight in the 300m here.
Jasmin Stowers:
12.40 and 12.39 in the 100m hurdles and we are only in early May! Sally Pearson, the Olympic champion says she can hardly wait to test the young American's credentials, so will Dawn Harper Nelson. This is her toughest test yet.
