MONTE CARLO, Monaco:
Julian Forte put his below par performance in the 200m at the Herculis IAAF Diamond League down to the stage where his training is at currently.
He clocked a time of 20.40 to finish sixth.
“I have been doing a lot of loading since I came over; been under a lot of heavy training,” Forte said. “So no real cause for concern; I think I am just loaded.”
The race was won by Panama’s Alonso Edward in 20.10.
France’s Christophe Lemanitre was second in a season best 20.24 while Costa Rica’s Nervy Brenes set a new national record of 20.33 for fourth.
