Foreman cops Jamaica's first gold at CARIFTA Games 2018

Excelsior High School's outstanding high jumper, Shantae Foreman, following on her form at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Championship in Kingston last week continued today at the CARIFTA Games in The Bahamas picking up the first gold medal for Jamaica.
Foreman leapt 1.74 metres to take gold in the Girl's Under 17 category.
Curacao's Vanessa Mercena took silver with a jump of 1.71-metres and M'kayla White of The Bahamas third with 1.65 metres.
Jamaica will be looking to increase the medal haul of 86 at last year's Games.
