Jhaniele Fowler-Reid scored 40 of her 43 attempts to lead Jamaica's Sunshine Girls to a massive 88-30 win over Fiji in their opening game at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Romelda Aiken, who went on court in the third quarter, added 24 from 32 and Rebekah Robinson, 15 from 16 as the Jamaicans dominated each quarter - 22-9; 27-6;20-7 and 19-8 to get their campaign off to a strong start at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Jamaicans, who won the bronze medal at the 2014 games in Glasgow, Scotland, will next face South Africa at 12:02 a.m. on Friday in preliminary round, Pool A action.
