The first win of the new Jamaica Premier League season belongs to Cavalier SC, which enjoyed a solid 2-0 win over Humble Lion at the JFF/UWI/Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Saturday.

Second half substitute Dwayne Atkinson got the winner in the 77th minute when his curling effort from outside the penalty area found the top right hand corner of the net, past the outstretched arms of Humble Lion goalkeeper Dennis Taylor.

Courtney Allen finished the job in the second minute of extra time, going around Taylor to slot home into an empty net to secure the three points for the Rudolph Speid-coached Cavalier team.

Humble Lion finished with 10 men as Andrew Vanzie was sent off in stoppage time for a second yellow card offence.
