Mount Pleasant and Tivoli Gardens played to a 0-0 draw in their Jamaica Premier League season opening game at the UWI/JFF/Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence today.

Mount Pleasant had chances to take the lead early in the first half as Suelae McCalla's header was saved by goalkeeper Kewong Watkins.

Tivoli Gardens also had their chances to test Mount Pleasant as Jermaine Johnson had two free kick opportunities, which were saved by David Swaby.

Mount Pleasant had a golden chance to win the game late in the second half as substitute Francois Swaby was one-on-one with Watkins but the Tivoli Gardens goalkeeper saved the shot from close range.
