Shadae Lawrence of Jamaica competes in the Women's Discus Throw event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium on Saturday (Japan time).

National champion Shadae Lawrence advanced to the final of the Women's Discus Throw event at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday night (Jamaica time).

Lawrence threw a distance of 62.27m behind Croatia's Sandra Perkovic (63.75m) and Germany's Kristin Pudenz (63.73m) to put herself into the medal round.

Lawrence was Jamaica's only female participant in the discus throws.
