Waterhouse scored a comfortable 4-0 win over Portmore United in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) at the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Sunday, thanks to a brace from Cardel Benbow.

Benbow, a former Mount Pleasant forward, who had not scored in the league for almost two years, opened the scoring after 18 minutes. Portmore's goalkeeper Eric Edwards was caught in possession and Andre Fletcher played the loose ball to Benbow who finished calmly under pressure from 12 yards.

Just past the half hour mark, Jahvon James beat his marker down the right and a delivered a low cross for Denardo Thomas who redirected into the bottom corner to make the score 2-0.

The Drewsland club added a third goal before the break (37th minute) when James latched on to a pass from Benbow and slipped the ball between the legs of Edwards in goal.

Twelve minutes into the second half Benbow added his second of the game, and Waterhouse's fourth, when he broke in behind the Portmore defence and slipped the ball past Edwards.
