Carifta Trials | Kennedy, McAnuff, White, Campbell take 400 honours
Edwin Allen High School's Delano Kennedy bested a very strong field to win the boys’ under-20 400-metre title at the JAAA Carifta Trials in 46.97 seconds at the National Stadium today.
Shemar Palmer from Manchester finished second in 47.29 and KC’s Shaemar Uter was third in 47.47.
Hydel’s Oneika McAnnuff won the girls’ under-20 400m in 53.15 seconds, finishing ahead of Kaylia Kelly from Vere (54.09) and Shana-Kaye Anderson of Bustamante (54.25).
Kingston College’s Tajh-Marques White won the boys’ under-17 400m in 48.36 seconds ahead of his teammate Machino Rose (48.52) and Edwin Allen's Antonio Powell (49.29).
Abigail Campbell, running unattached, won the girls under-17 400m in 55.18 seconds ahead of St Jago's Quana Walker (55.99) and Shevaughn Thomas of Vere (56.99).
