Carifta Trials | Spot Valley's Cole outclasses javelin field, Hydel's Atkinson wins triple jump

Spot Valley High School's Shenell Cole was comfortable, as she threw 31.85 metres inside the National Stadium earlier today to win the JAAA Carifta Trials girls' under-17 javelin.

Regena Case of Holmwood Technical's was second with a best throw of 27.95m, while Hydel High School's Natassia Burrell was third with 26.20m.

In the girls' under-17 triple jump, Hydel's Sabrina Atkinson (11.83 metres) got the better of Excelsior's Rhianna Lugg (11.69m).
