Jamaica drubbed 4-0 by Canada
Jamaica's Reggae Boyz were whipped 4-0 by hosts Canada in a Concacaf World Cup qualifying match at the BMO Field in Toronto on Sunday.
Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan, Junior Hoilett and a defender (Adrian Mariappa) were the scorers as Canada secured their first World Cup berth in 36 years. Canada have been to the World Cup just once before, in 1986.
Canada sit atop the table in the final qualifying round with 28 points, six more than the United States and Mexico. The United States host Panama and Mexico are away to Honduras later on Sunday.
The top three finishers in the North and Central American and Caribbean region book a trip to this year's World Cup in Qatar. The fourth-place team goes to an intercontinental playoff against a team from Oceania. Jamaica's Reggae Boyz have already been eliminated.
