CG2022 | Three Jamaicans in women's 400mh final

Jamaica’s trio of Shiann Salmon, Janieve Russell and Rushell Clayton, Thursday, stormed into the final of the women’s 400 metres hurdles at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Running in heat one, Salmon crossed the line in 55.30 seconds, followed by Russell in 55.79 and New Zealand’s Portia Bing, who did in 56.32.

In heat two, Clayton was also a winner as she clocked 54.93 seconds.

The three Jamaicans will be joined by South Africa’s Zeney Van Der Walt, England’s Jessie Knight, Australia’s Sarah Carli, Bing and Turks and Caicos’ Yanique Haye-Smith for Saturday’s final, set for 1:30 pm Jamaica time.
