World U-20 | Hill, James progress in women's 100mh

Jamaica's Kerrica Hill and Alexis James, Thursday, advanced to the semi-finals of the 100 metres hurdles at the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia.

Both won their respective race, with Hill competing in heat one and James in heat five.

Hill ran 13.30 seconds to finish ahead of Czechoslavakia's Ester Bendova, who did 13.54, as Romania's Iulia Dariana Grigoroiu did a personal best of 13.65 for third.

James was timed in a personal best of 13.04 seconds with Germany's Naomi Krebs ending second in 13.45, also a personal best, and Brazil's Giovana Corradi third in 13.90.
