Delano Kennedy produced an excellent anchor leg to earn the silver medal for Jamaica in the men’s 4x400 metres at the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia on Saturday.

Kennedy, who was disqualified in the individual 400 metres for false starting, received the baton well back and gradually passed each rival until the final 90 metres, where he eventually made a strong move to pass Great Britain for the silver.

The United States of America (USA) had amassed a huge lead and eventually won in 3:28.06 minutes with Jamaica finishing in 3:31.59 and Great Britain doing 3;31.86. All the times were season best.
