Jamaica’s Machaeda Linton finished her women’s triple jump campaign ninth in the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia on Saturday.
Linton did 12.86 metres on her second jump and failed to gain three more jumps, for being in the top eight of the final at that stage.
The event was won by Uzbekistan’s Sharifa Davronova in 14.04 metres with Sohane Aucagos of France winning the silver medal with 13.38 and Australia’s Tiana Boras the bronze in a personal best of 13.20.
