Stafanie Taylor stars in Amazon Warriors' opener
BASSETERRE, St Kitts (CMC): Jamaica's Stafanie Taylor and captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, hit a top-score of 29 to lead her team to a 15-run victory over the Trinbago Knight Riders in their opening game of the inaugural Women's 6IXTY cricket tournament at Warner Park, St Kitts, on Wednesday.
Taylor's Jamaica and West Indies team-mate, Rashada Williams, who is also representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors, scored 24.

GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS WOMEN 81 for two off 10 overs (Stafanie Taylor 29, Rashada Williams 24) beat TRINBAGO KNIGHT RIDERS WOMEN 66 off 9.3 overs (Kycia Knight 22; Shamilia Connell 2-17) by 15 runs.
Meanwhile, in the very first game of the tournament, Chloe Tryon plundered 63 runs in leading Barbados Royals Women to victory in the opening match.

BARBADOS ROYALS WOMEN 108 for four off 10 overs (Chloe Tryon 63) beat TRINBAGO KNIGHT RIDERS WOMEN 80 for three off 10 overs (Hayley Jensen 22, Kycia Knight 21; Hayley Matthews 2-6) by 28 runs.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Royals are taking the field for the final match of the opening day.
