Hobbs upsets field as Jackson finishes second in Lausanne 100m
World 200 metres champion Shericka Jackson finished second in the women's 100 metres at the Diamond League meet in Lausanne, Switzerland today.
Jackson clocked 10.88 seconds as the much-anticipated clash between five-time World champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and double sprint Olympic Games champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah, took an anti-climatic turn with Fraser Pryce withdrawing because of a hamstring problem and Thompson-Herah false starting.
Aleia Hobbs of the United States of America (USA) won in 10.87 seconds while World Championship silver medallist Marie Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast was third in 10.89
