The injuries for Jamaica at the 50th Carifta Games continue to mount with the completion of the boys’ under-20 800 metres in Nassau, Bahamas this morning.

Kemarrio Bygrave, who left the 1500 metres on a wheelchair yesterday, faced the starter in semi-final heat two this morning but could not finish.

In the earlier semi-final heat, Byrgrave’s teammate Ainsley Brown led for 400 metres before fading badly, and eventually crumpling to the floor 600 metres into the event.

Like Bygrave the day before, Brown needed the aid of the wheelchair to be taken from the field.

In the meantime, the final of the 800 tomorrow will be attended by Trinidad and Tobago’s Stefan Camejo, 1:53.64, Bermuda’s Sancho Smith, 1:56.20, Nathan Cumberbatch, 1:56.38, Barbados’ Favian Gollop, 1:56.40, Guyana’s Seon Booker, 1:57.43, and the United States Virgin Islands’ Jahshani Ferrington, 1:57.54.
