Traves Smikle watches the discus in the air on his way to winning the men's title with 66.12 metres at the National Senior and Junior Championships at the National Stadium this evening.

Traves Smikle was crowned the men’s discus champion at the National Senior and Junior Championships (Trials) at the National Stadium today, following his fifth-round effort of 66.12 metres.

Roje Stona finished second, producing a championship-best effort of 65.92 metres.

Five-time national champion, Fedrick Dacres, had to settle for third as his best effort was measured at 65.79 metres.
