Jamaica's Rajindra Campbell spins his way to a place in the final during the men's shot put at the World Athletics Championships inside the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary earlier today.

National shot put champion Rajindra Campbell is safely through to the final of the men’s shot put at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Campbell’s final throw 20.83 metres is the 10th best throw heading into the 12-man final, set to start later today at 1:35 p.m.

According to Campbell, he started slowly because weather conditions put paid to his warm-up, then a slick throwing ring made him cautious.

His biggest throw came, he said, as a result of a drying ring.
