Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz suffered a 2-0 defeat to Canada tonight in their Olympic Games qualifier at the National Stadium.

Nichelle Prince scored in the 18th minute, and Adriana Leon added the second three minutes into second half added time to provide the victory for Canada.

Both goals were scored from crosses, with Jamaica matching their opponents in sections of the match but failing to create clear goalscoring chances.

The Reggae Girlz will now travel to the BMO Stadium in Toronto for the second leg of the tie on Tuesday.
